Question:

How can the conscience be cleared or cleansed? What is the difference between the conscience, the spirit and the heart?

The first place that must be washed when we come to the gospel is the conscience. The conscience must first be cleansed before the heart is washed. Our attitudes are based on our conscience. We interact with the earth and with people through our conscience. The milk of the word takes care of some of the issues of the conscience.

The conscience is not cleansed once. The Church is meant for cleansing. The conscience can be cleansed by taking the word we hear to heart. The effect of the word of righteousness on the conscience is seen in our lives.

Hebrews 13:18

Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

It is in the conscience we begin to see honesty of intention and honest of heart. Paul said some things we must consciously do for our conscience to be cleansed.

Acts 24:16

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

 

The place where offence starts is the conscience. Offence does not go in a day, it manifests over time. Whatever life we live that cannot be seen by men is questionable. The conscience can be pure. What makes the conscience pure is the word of God. We must not confuse our conscience with he voice of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 1:9

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

 

The conscience can be weak. The conscience is made strong by knowledge of the word of God. We must use the knowledge of the word of God to judge ourselves rather than our conscience.

2 Cor. 1:12

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

 

We must embrace simplicity, honesty, sincerity. Here are deep things in the conscience that will require only the blood of Jesus to purge. The conscience can be trained in wickedness. If we do not train ourselves and humble ourselves in the word of God, we will not be changed.

The gospel is to x-ray our anatomy. This part of the conscience has to be understood because that is the reserve of the heart. The conscience must be involved in your service, if not, all of you have not been offered. The conscience is the last place of service. It takes time for the conscience to be reached. For instance, when some people eat certain food, their conscience is pricked.

When the devil knows that your conscience is not being saved, he uses that against our salvation. The conscience is the final sieve that makes truth your own eternally. The conscience has to be purged, and as we make progress, we must keep a good conscience.

There are things that block the conscience from being reached o that we are not able to serve God acceptably. Gradually, we can keep a good conscience, but ultimately, the conscience must be thoroughly purged so that we can serve God with godly fear.

 

Question:

According to Hebrews 6:4-6, how can one gone through these experiences and still fall?

Hebrews 6:4-6

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

 

Answer:

It is possible to fall after going through so much experience in the spirit. An instance is Lucifer who fell from such great height, from the face of Elohim. For Satan and for those who fall from that estate, there is no repentance or redemption.

We must believe truth to the end so that we can follow until our conscience is purged. Until the conscience is purged, we are not totally saved. Lucifer twisted his conscience and no longer had the template to offer service. Service must always be from a pure conscience, whether in heaven or o the earth.

He wants to cleanse to the uttermost because he wants to raise worshipper unto our God. He has come to raise us so that reasonable service can ascend to the Father. In this day it will be offered afresh. Open your heart for the High Priest to cleanse it.

If you tamper with your conscience, your template from service is destroyed. Satan has degraded because he tampered with his conscience. We must not be comfortable washing the outside of the cup. If the work does not get to the conscience, we can fall. There is need to seal the sum. Lucifer was decked with ten of the twelve stones of the foundation of the city of God. If the two stones are not there, it is still possible to fall.

Man is a complex creature and any attempt to help man without the gospel will further destroy man. The easiest thing for man to do is to get too familiar with a thing or person.

1 Corinthians 5:7

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

 

Being in the presence of God should create in us the sense of dependence on God.

Philippians 2:8

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

A will is corrupted when the will has gained a sense of independence from God. Sin is like viral seed that can evolve when righteousness is tampered with. Sin evolved under a high light. Once you are enlightened and you still sin, it is deliberate. For Satan, his will had been using righteousness for ages, so when he sinned, he cannot repent because it is deliberate.

It is not easy to save from sin. The day you assume that you have attained unto salvation, you begin to fall. We must never assume that any man cannot fall.

Be careful what you do in the light. Be careful what you do in my presence. Be careful how you play with sin under the light. You have been called and drawn to the place of oath. You have been called to fellowship with men who hold the oath. Be careful with your heart for when you exercise your heart wrongly, you distinguish yourself unto death. Why should you die? It would have been blessed for you if you were never numbered with them. Your heart bears witness with you. You have been brought to the place of oath and you must be careful what you do with your heart.

Certain songs bring our hearts to the position where we find help. Delete the word ‘independence’ from your dictionary. Do not hide your intentions or the things you do. If you do not fear God, you do not know Him. Put yourself in the place where you are always seeking for help.
