Question:

What understanding can be communicated to someone who lies?

Answer:

John 8:44-45.

What makes the devil a liar is because he speaks of his own, from his nature. Romans 1:25, Revelation 22:15. A lie is not equated to just saying something that is not true; it is something opposed to the truth of Jesus. Lie is a nature that proceeds from the devil which is against the Truth that proceeds from Jesus. 2 Thessalonians 2:11. When someone who knows a measure of the truth picks it and turns it around to suit self, then he has spoken a lie. As believers, we must strive always to have honest hearts. If we are open to God and love integrity, then we will speak the truth at all times and find wisdom to handle situation in manners that will not put make us a lie. Speaking a lie is not also only what proceeds out of the mouth; it is something one weaves and expresses in their demeanor. Maintain a heart of integrity that will not amount to you telling lie or divulging what you are not supposed to.

Lying is a nature in some people. Colossians 3:9.

Question:

According to Matthew 6:22, how can we keep a single eye? What does it mean to have a single eye? How can one’s eye be single?

Answer:

Matthew 6:19

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Where your treasure is determines whether your body will be: full of light or darkness? To have a single eye means to be focused on only one thing. Colossians 3:1. The single eye is a spiritual eye. Only Christ can make our eye single. Faith makes our eye single. To keep the eye single, we must keep hearing faith. Unbelief or double-mindedness is the opposite of single eye. To have a single eye means your only focus is Life. If we will ever enter into Life, crave for other things must be taken away. We must keep seeking God and learning truth for us to keep a single eye. We must have the attitude of dropping our own things to gain the things of God.

Being single in the scripture has nothing to do with not being married. Proverbs 23:6; Mark 7:20. The eye is connected to the heart. Singleness of the eye has to do with the heart. When your heart is set on Christ, your eye is single.

God desires singleness. It is the worship of God that raises us. God does not ask for our worship for his own sake. The worship of God makes our eye single. It is only Christ that can generate singleness in us. When we are focused on him, we are changed. There is strength in unity. His desire is to make us better; there is only one thing we are to conform to. It is not a commandment that is grievous.

There is nothing like balance in singleness. It is not about doing church things alone, it is about finding God and letting him be the center of your heart. The panting of our hearts must be to find God. Singleness means that God has become our drive. Our strength lies in our singleness.

Question:

God commits his tangible things to the hands of disciples. How can a child or baby in the Spirit grow so as not to remain a novice, according to 1 Timothy 3:6, in acquiring so much information and not by revelation?

Answer:

Timothy 3:6

We grow up from being a baby. Every believer is born a child in Christ. The period of babyhood is not a very long period. The only way we will not remain babies in the spirit is to exercise ourselves in the word of righteousness. Milk for babies in the spirit has to be sincere if we will grow well. The level of stature you come into in the spirit makes you a deacon. Being a deacon is being as servant of the church. If the faith is not being unveiled, we will remain a novice. What changes us is when our hearts is always saying yes to the word of God being unveiled to us. We will remain natural and never become spiritual if Christ is not unveiled to us. When the heart resists what the revelation of Christ, we will remain novices.

Hebrews 2:1-2

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

Growing to the place where God can commit tangible things to us, we must journey with Him. We must go back to the things we have been taught and look more into them. John 8:31. When we continue in the Truth, we will come to know the truth. To come to the place where we can hold the mystery of the Faith, we must continue in the Truth.

There is no crime in checking the scriptures. We must not assume we know. Philippians 3:13. You cannot get to the prize of the upward calling if you do not have the habit of forgetting the things that are past and pressing forward. When we all align with the apostolic spirit of the house we are planted, we will grow by the revelation of Christ. When we align with the spirit, we come to a realization and thereby come to the place where we are forgetting the things that are past and seeing the right things.

Do not remain where you are. Feed properly on milk when you are a baby but do not remain there. We will not outgrow milk without pressures. God places demands on us in order to raise us. We cannot claim to have overcome some things if we have not encountered them.

May Mercy continually help our hearts submit to all of the administrations of Christ for our raising. Amen!
