1st Session
The Devil tries believers with a lot of things and the essence of everything that he does is for men to slip off the way, because in actual essence, the path of Life is slippery. There is a need for us to be wise and not be ignorant of the ploys and schemes of the devil; knowing this will make us wise and to live with the understanding that the deliverance that man actually needs is LIGHT! If light does not visit us, we will be incapacitated. Darkness is what keeps us robbed but if we can have access to a higher light, we will experience deliverance. If we do not have access to the Word of the Lord, darkness will catch up with us. This is why there is a need for us to be truly dead to flesh else we will not bear or embody the Gospel. Sometimes, God allows certain things to happen around us to bring out the darkness that is lurking in the recesses of our hearts. Being believers, we have been delivered from the power of darkness into the Kingdom of Light, and this darkness is not an operation of witches and occults, but strongholds in the minds, in the form of imaginations and thoughts. Spirits peddle with imagination.
To measure how much Light, we have in us, God allows experiences and encounters to happen to us to see how we will react. We must grow in Light so that we can discern darkness which the devil is daily updating. The things we hear must entrench into our daily living because we will be tried by the schemes of the devil. We must further understand that there are saints that still have darkness in them whose eyes are evil, and the antidote to this is to become upgraded in Light.
At initial salvation, though we were born again, there’s still a measure of darkness our soul still harbors, and to the degree that our soul responds to the instructions of Light is to the degree that darkness will be lightened up. If our eyes are not single, they are evil and if they are evil, it doesn’t matter the measure of light we have in our souls, we will be in darkness. This is why we must come up and make haste to take steps in Light and begin to walk in a higher light per time.
2nd Session
Light is actually deliverance. Nobody can conquer sin without Light. We war by Light and in Light. Casting out demons and devils is not the real warfare, true warfare is in Light. No one can conquer sin without Light. A true child of God truly dislikes sin though most are still under the captivity of sin; and until we handle Light we cannot break the dominion of sin; Light must be revealed in the soul, until then, we do not have power over sin and to handle Satan.
The weapon Jesus Christ used to handle Satan is Light and when we are full of Light, Satan cannot unravel us also. Jesus was one with the nature of God; He finished his course on earth before ascending into the clouds in Glory. There was no way Jesus was going to live short of the requirement of God; He must express the divine nature in the flesh. This was the essence of His coming in the flesh, that God be manifest in the flesh. He was already Resurrection and Life before He resurrected which was a proof of His mastery over sin and death. If Jesus was not one with the nature of God, it would not have been possible to handle sin and conquer death.
Anyone who will conquer Satan must receive the things of God which are in Christ Jesus as revealed in the Gospel. Revelation 1:1. If we keep receiving Faith, we will become the righteousness of God. Romans 1:16-17; 14:17. So long as we have not attained the stature of righteousness, we cannot overcome sin. While Jesus was on earth, He was receiving things from the Father. He received all things before He left the earth and there is nothing of God that is not in Him. John 13:3; Hebrews 1:1-3. For God to raise trees of righteousness on the earth, the things of God must be received by men. We must seek the document of truth in which there is the sword of truth with which we will overcome. Jesus became the testimony because it was written in His blood.
We must finish our course and ascend above the earth because no man can conquer without the documents of Truth written in the Blood of Christ.
3rd Session
The light which the man who stumbles sees is the light which is inside of the man. Everyone who stumbles does so because there is no direction in them, not because there is no physical light though a blind man in the natural is blind because he has no access to physical light. Isaiah 8:20; John 11:9-10. So, to stumble is not to fall due to kicking against a stone but to be in confusion and without a clue on steps to take in life. While we have light, we must believe in the light so that we can be born of light. John 12:35-36. The way we are birthed into light is by believing in the light and everything we become on earth is because we believe. John 12:46, ‘I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.’ No one can say that he has fellowship with the son and say that he has no light, because when we fellowship with the light, he births us. Light is a commandment and the essence is to give life, we cannot have life without light. John 12:49-50. Light is a commandment that is not available until we believe in the light for God is light. 1 John 1:5. In the son is life and his life is the light all men should live by. There is no life without having access the light inside of the Son.
In the message of Eternal Life, Light is the Faith. The entire epistle is a body of knowledge that transfers the things of God. The way God transfers His things is by light; light is the vehicle by which God's Life is transferred. So, when we hear Eternal Life, we must understand that it is Light, Life and Love, because it is God’s Life, and God is Light, Life and Love! The foremost expression, initiation and invitation that any man will receive in the quest for God’s Life is that such a man will be brought into fellowship with the Light; the Light is the Faith!
Whatever we are today is a product of a light we have intermeddled with consciously and unconsciously which has produced a kind of a life. When we use light, we give room for godliness to manifest in us. The foremost heartbeat we can show before the throne is godliness - a life that has used light over time to make profit. We cannot journey to Love if we do not come into and use Light, the hope of the Gospel Life.
Faith and hope are progressions of our movement into love. 1 Corinthians 13:13. Light has the ability to raise men when they fellowship with it. Light makes the difference in the realm of darkness and in the spiritual realm for he who holds the light holds the day.
4th Session
1 Peter 1:22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
One of the ways God deals with us is through the love of the brethren. One of the ways to show we are dead to ourselves is through the love of the brethren. The laboratory that God put in place to deal with us is in the love of the brethren, it is in us yielding and acknowledging God to deal with us via the love of the brethren, he allows our brethren to deal with us. We cannot become who God desires that we should be without going through the dealings we will experience in the love of the brethren. 1 Peter 1:21 is a demand to love. Light is a commandment and one of its commandment also is that we love the brethren. When we experience the dealings as we live in love with our brethren, then, we are dying to ourselves. It does not matter how terrible some brethren are, they might hurt us but we are still demanded to love. We cannot be healed of hurt outside the community of God’s people; neither is there any other way to deal with us outside the love of the brethren. This is done by the Spirit as the Truth of God’s word is being revealed to us. These revelations communicate to us commandments that place on us the demand to love.
Love has a demand; we cannot love without Light; this is because loving is difficult and it will take the help of the Spirit to help us to love as we should. It is Christ who shows us how to love by giving us his commandment. The way we show that we are coming to Christ is by showing love to the Brethren via the Truth that we receive when we come to him. Love is what shows that we are being born of God and that we know God. Love is much more than giving of things or being benevolent; it is the giving of our life. To love is death! It is the expunging of self and the raising of Christ in us.
The way God shows He loves us is that He will give us to men and when they come at you to press you even in uncomfortable situation, what will come out of our being will be love. 1 John 4:7-8, ‘Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.’
Honor is a demand on us to give to all men, if we do not honor people and appreciate the brotherhood, we cannot show love to them. 1 Peter 2:17. We cannot fear God if we cannot honor all men and love the brotherhood. No one should meet us without witnessing or receiving a touch of love from us, they should not go away with more hurt that they came with. The essence of the Light of God shining upon us is to bring us higher into another estate. We must always relate with men from our spirit because the love of the brethren is a training ground for us if we will grow in Christ.
5th Session
Wherever we find ourselves there is an expectation heaven has of us which we must not fail of. We have a demand to live the life of God in the world; this is what will remove whatsoever ignorance the world has about Christ, his coming and the essence of his coming. This living can only be possible after we have come into contact with his Light, Love, and Life. The world may jest and mock our faith; it is because they are ignorant. This is the reason our lives ought to be an example for them all to see.
We are all required to have Christ’s mind that would have been worked inside of us through the Truth that we hear. This therefore places a demand on us to lay demand on the words that we hear. There is no impact we can have on our immediate locality if we do not have the mind of Christ, neither can we do what he has done.
We cannot be equal with Christ in His Deity; but we should be equal with Him in His nature. This can only be possible if we are constantly growing. Every deposit of Christ in us should culminate into making us whom/ what Christ is. As we partake of Christ via teachings, what we receive are consolation, encouragement, comfort of love and the fellowship of the Spirit. Philippians 2:1, ‘If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies’.
We must know that there are tendencies for us to become weary due to experiences that we may have to go through; this is why we find consolation, encouragement, comfort and the fellowship of the Spirit. And why the devil will want to make us wearied is to make us doubt the faith. True love and true fellowship is found only among the brethren. When we get to that point where we are all of one accord and mind, having the same love, the devil cannot have a place among us. Until we can look on the things of Christ, we will keep looking on our own things. Philippians 2:4. Until our learning translates into our relationship with others, we have not learned anything.
6th Session
The Gospel is the power of God and when we find mockers and scoffers jesting with and about the gospel, we know it is all a sign of ignorance. To an average person, Christianity is all about what they can see displayed in the contemporary conventional popular churches, unknown to them that God always hides what he does and they are not easily visibly seen by all. Believers should not be ignorant of what God is doing even if there may be ignorant people jesting and scoffing. We must also know that whatever God may be doing in the closet, he is also intentional about making it public/ known. This is exemplified in the scriptures when he told his disciples to go say the things he speaks to them about in the secret on the roof tops. These things which are expected to be spoken on the roof tops are not borne out of personal interpretation but as a result of God establishing his truth in those who are expected to speak about what he is doing.
Authority is not a show of strength, it is a function of responsibility; and anytime we move to a higher pedestal in the spirit, the fight against us intensifies. Christianity is a hidden work God is doing in His people that will soon become manifest.
It is not all that is in heaven that is in Christ; but all that is in Christ are heavenly and they have right and their citizenship in Christ. The heavens and the earth are all creations of God’s hands. The heaven is not of God, it is a place of his habitation where he humbled himself to inhabit and when Christ was raised, he was raised above the heaven because he inherited a nature that is above the heavens. Our blessing is in Christ; while the earthly blessings are not our inheritance, they are the things we use in passing, because there is nothing we get on earth that changes us as pertaining to our inheritance. The only thing Jesus came to the earth to do is to inherit God and it will take this inheritance to have a future with God and in God. The thought of God outspans the heaven and the earth; it goes into how the creation can align with its Creator. God wants to restore creatures back by restoring the leaders of creatures – Men, who are the sons.
Ephesians 1:6-7
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
God will not love anything that has no power to become what he has in mind. If there were no riches of God’s grace, what God has in His dream would not be acceptable. Grace must be appreciated if Glory must be actualized. No one can change the course of the earth if such does not have the power and authority to do so. The devil is full of wisdom and perfect in beauty because he was set so; to outwit him, we must have access to the wisdom higher than his.
Matthew 16:26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
The soul is higher and bigger than what it does. Without the Gospel, so many things would have been hidden forever, which is why it will take the Gospel to restore our value system and to unveil the hidden things. It is ONLY in the Gospel that we can find God’s value system. We cannot be a prophet or servant and be profane, we will not go far. It is in the Gospel that the wealth and revelation of God is made known so that we can have access to true value and estimation. God wants to raise children unto Himself who will attain to the praise of the Glory of His grace; a realm in which we must not exist lesser than.
To make us entities that can shift nations and change courses, the power of Christ is required. To be counted among the Brethren, you must be a beloved. Psalm 133:1-3. God will not move the riches of His Grace towards us if we do not place value on His riches. It is the riches of Christ that makes sons and every son must have enjoyed riches. The riches of Christ are not proven by the swelling of the pockets but by negotiating matters in the stead of Christ and shifting courses on His account.
2 Corinthians 5:20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Jesus’ discussion with the devil in the wilderness was one that came out of an intelligent knowledge of the Spirit and not just a religious matter. We need to move to a higher level of love having expired the elementary level of the initial love of the saints. Ephesians 1:15. If we do not upgrade to this next level of light, the little light we have in us can become darkness. We must be purified before we can come into the realm of unfeigned love. Faith cleanses the heart and prepares it for the realm of unfeigned love. 1 Peter 1:22.
We must always be ridden of veils else we become stagnated and cannot move on to the next phase with God. The hope of God must be continually painted to us so that we can have faith to make God’s hope our hope. Though everything earthly is amazing to a vain mind, we have to keep preaching the Calling of God, Our Profession, because God has to make it known. May our eyes be opened so we can come into God’s value system. Amen!
